The Da Vinci Code Quest # 3 on Google

Hello folks! it's Quest time again. On Day 3, the quest is being called as Observation Challenge.

The instructions are as follows
" Jean Reno is Bezu Fache, a police Captain known for his unrelenting pursuit of truth. Find the clip using the given search terms, watch it, and use your observational skills to seek the truthful answers to the questions.

Now, we are asked three questions based on the video shown.
Note: The critical elements you need to observe are highlighted by an arrow

The following are the three questions

Question # 1: For this question, we are asked to name the symbol. For this go to
sodarktheconofman.com
In there, go to characters, go to Bezu Fache. Below his profile, is the name of the symbol you need to enter.

Question # 2: For this question, we are asked to name the famous drawing of Da Vinci. The hint is here on Wikipedia
The drawing is on the right side under description.

Question # 3: Finally, you are asked to name the number of dials. This is pretty simple. In the video, the cryptex is highlighted by the arrow pointer again. Another simple hint: it is the number of fingers on your hand + 1

Finally, you are done. Good luck !!

That one was rather easy. I wonder how much more difficult they'll get.... we'll find out soon I'm sure.

Hey Student.. i liked the way you presented quest #1. Gave out the challenge and then in a different post gave the approach. This way, it is becomming to easy for me.

What do the rest of you guys think?

Hey Student... good job. I just bookmarked your site.

Keep up with the good work

Hey how did you change the template.
Unless I am wrong, the size is much bigger

Man, I knew the symbol was a fleur-de-lis, but who knew they wanted captialization and the hyphens. Kinda annoying. The other ones were easy.

Great site, I've bookmarked it for "future reference". Not sure if I'm be paranoid but a few days ago it was easy to find your site on google blogsearch, not anymore, I think it's a cover up! Keep up the good work (so I don't have to)

thanks for the hints!
I hope like jp said, google is not blocking you site or something. Need to spread the word. Efforts must be doubled

jeez.. thanks for the heads up jp. Yes, you are right. Student Rant used to hover somewhere in the first or second page when the search query was Student Rant. Now it's disappeared.

Is google punishing me?

Spread the word ppl...

Surely there are only 4 fingers on a persons hand and 1 thumb?

Student said...

fingers section edited

Actually, as far as I know (which happens to stem from an extremely old unabridged random house dictionary) it is ambigious (agh) of whether or not the thumb is considered a finger or not.

I'm not a mathematician (or a good speller apparently) but I'm pretty sure you could also guess and check by doing 26(X!) for x+1 if 26(X!)[doesnotequal] that number that is less than 12 million.

how did you find this video??
what terms did u use?

Anonymous said...

don't you guys have any guts to actually try this on your own??

ugh.. losers.

This is a question........im pretty sure the answer to question 1 was fleur-de-lis, but everytime i put that and enter it, it says that it is only part of the answer. HELP!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Don't press enter. After you enter the answer to question # 1, click on the space where you can type in the second answer and so on. And yes, you are right... the answer to the first question is fleur-de-lis

What's the anwser to part 2???

After the symbol challenge I did not get the question about pluto. I got How many stones in 2,794,129 carats.

SCOTISH ELLS = 37 INCHS
SCORE = 20 LBS
HANDS = 4 INCHES
(4*20)*37/4 = 740

AND THERES A NEW QUEST NOT POSTED YET ON HERE IT'S THE PAINTING CHALLENGE. THE QUESTION AT THE END OF THIS ONE IS ISBN 0860788288 HAS HOW MANY ARTISONIANS. THE ANSWER IS TWO

just thought i'd let you all know that if you notice in the first question the that word "glimpses" is in bold and underlined, if you just click on that it lights up the fleur-de-lis on bezu fache's face. you do not need to watch the video.
